Optiflow Arterial Cannulae reduce pressure gradients

The article written by Dr. Scharfschwerdt 1 measured and compared the pressure gradients and back pressure of Optiflow’s unique tip design to Medos X-Flow, Sarns Soft Flow and Argyle THI.
The results demonstrated that Optiflow’s unique tip design provided improved hydrodynamics with low pressure gradients, low back pressure and uniform central dispersion of flow, which reduced the “sandblasting effect.”
